Use Imovane is used to treat sleep disorders such as insomnia, waking frequently in night or waking early in the morning. It is intended that Imovane be for occasional use only. Dosage Take 1 tablet before going to bed. Your doctor may prescribe a different dosage depending on the condition you are being treated for. Always follow your doctors instructions when taking Imovane. It is not advised that you take Imovane continuously for more than 4 weeks. Continued trouble sleeping may indicate another medical disorder, you are advised to see your doctor if you have continuous trouble sleeping. Side Effects Taking Imovane may result in experiencing unwanted side effects. These side effects may include periods of drowsiness, occasional lightheadedness, clumsiness and problems staying alert. You may also experience unusual thoughts or behavior, confusion, depression, hallucinations, nervousness or irritability. If any of these conditions becomes bothersome, you should see your doctor. You may also experience trouble getting to sleeps for the few nights after you stop taking Imovane. This condition is known as 'rebound insomnia' and should pass. Precautions If you have a history of liver or kidney disease, you are advised to use caution when taking Imovane. Consult your doctor about the appropriate dosage requirements for your condition. If you have previously been diagnosed with depression, then you should also consult your doctor about whether Imovane is right for your circumstances. |
