Use
Nizoral shampoo is a popular treatment for dandruff and the fungal conditions of the skin that can cause dandruff. It is also known to promote hair re growth through the cleansing of the scalp. The active ingredient Ketoconazole suppresses fungal growth on the scalp and provides treatment to ensure a more consistent blood flow to the hair follicle making for thicker, healthier hair.
Dosage
The shampoo is to be applied to wet hair and massaged into scalp as would normally be done with other shampoo. The shampoo should remain on the hair for 3 to 5 minutes before being rinsed off. The treatment should be applied twice a week for 2 to 4 weeks. If their is no improvement of the symptoms after 4 weeks of use of either of these medications you should be re-assessed by you doctor or medical professional.
Side Effects
Side effects from using Nizoral are rare. However you may experience: constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, headaches, nausea, vomiting. Also rare occasions users of this medication have been known to exhibit allergic reactions. If you experience symptoms such as fever, chills, itching or a rash, you should discontinue use and seek medical attention.
Precautions
