Use
Retinova treats acne by peeling the skin and unclogging pores. The cream is not a cure for acne but deprives skin the conditions needed for acne to appear. Retinova is also used to treat skin discoloration and fine lines associated with aging. Retinova works in this manner by promoting blood flow closer to the skin surface and help the skin to shed older skin cells for replacement by newer skin cells. Your doctor may also prescribe Retinova for other uses.
Dosage and Application
Place an amount of cream on to the skin and gently rub it in to apply a thin coverage to the affected area. You may experience a warming sensation on the skin as the cream is applied. This is normal. The cream is used daily to start with and then once every 2 or 3 days to maintain its effectiveness. Your doctor or medical professional will be able to advise what the best course of therapy is needed for your condition. Visible results from using Retinova can take months. For best results you must continue to use Retinova over a long period of time. Otherwise the skin will gradually deteriorate back to its original condition. Cosmetics may be used with Retinova however you should cleanse your skin thoroughly before the application of Retinova
Side Effects
The pervasiveness of side effects from using Retinova is consider to be rare. However, you may experience: stinging of the skin where the cream is applied; lightening or darkening of the skin; skin redness or scaling; increased acne sores; swelling or crusting of the skin. If any of these conciliations are particularly bothersome you should see you doctor.
Precautions
If you have a history of eczema or similar skin conditions, Retinova may not be suitable for you. Retinova is an external medication only. If is accidentally gets in your eyes or mouth you rinse it thoroughly with water. You should avoid long exposure to sunlight or sun lamps. If you cannot avoid exposure to sun light then make sure you use adequate sun screen with a SPF factor of 15 or greater.
