Use
Famtrex is used for the treatment of herpes zoster virus (shingles) or for genital herpes. It does not cure either condition but does relieve the symptoms and helps the affected area to heal faster. For the best results, Famtrex should be taken as soon as you notice symptoms appearing.

Dosage
The correct dosage requirements will depend of the condition you are using Famtrex as treatment for. You should only use Famtrex as directed by your doctor. Do not stop taking Famtrex without first consulting your doctor. Some people find that taking Famtrex with food helps to avoid stomach upsets and nausea.

Side Effects
Some side effects are known to occur in patients taking Famtrex. The most common side effects include: fatigue, fever, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, rash, insomnia.

Precautions
