Use
Cipflox is a broad spectrum anti-biotic used to treat bacterial infections such pneumonia, gonorrhea, chancroid, typhoid and other bone, joint, skin and urinary tract infection. It is also used to treat inhalational anthrax. Doctors may prescribe a medicine containing ciprofloxacin such as Cipflox with others to treat Mycobacterium avium complex that occurs in people infected with HIV. Note that anti-biotics are ineffective on viral infections such as colds and influenza.
Dosage
The correct dosage of Cipflox will depend on the condition you are being treated for. For example gonorrhea may require a single dose, whereas treatment for inhalational anthrax may last for 60 days or more. You should consult your doctor or medical professional to ensure that you have the correct dosage for your needs. Typical instructions for treatment of most bacterial infections will require you to take Cipflox every 12 hours with or without food, but you are strongly advised to follow the directions given by your doctor.Do not take Cipflox with dairy products such as milk and yogurt. You should avoid foods and beverages containing caffeine such as coffee, chocolate, tea or cola as this may increase the levels of nervousness, sleeplessness, heart pounding or anxiety.
Side effects
Taking Cipflox may result in unwanted side effects. However, the prevalence is considered uncommon or rare. After taking Cipflox you may experience: stomach pain; diarrhea; vomiting; headache; restlessness; nervousness; anxiety; nightmares. Some people my experience more serious reactions to taking Cipflox. If you experience any of the following see your doctor immediately: skin rash; itching; hives; difficulty breathing or swallowing; swelling of the face or throat; yellowing of the skin or eyes; dark urine; pale or dark stools; blood in urine; sunburn or blistering; seizures or convulsions; vaginal infection; vision changes; pain, swelling, or rupture of a tendon; dizziness; confusion; tremors; delusions or hallucinations; depression.
Precautions
Taking a combination Cipflox with other medications can cause serious side effects or reduce effectiveness of Cipflox in treating your condition. You should inform your doctor or medical professional is you are taking any other medication, including homeopathic remedies. You also need to tell your doctor if you have a history of kidney, liver or heart disease, epilepsy, colitis, stomach or vision problems, or have had a stroke. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Cipflox as this can add to the feelings of dizziness or drowsiness.
