Use
Forcan is the generic version of Diflucan. This medication contains Fluconazole and is used to treat vaginal yeast infections otherwise known as candida.
Dosage
The correct dosage will depend the condition Forcan is being taken for. Your should follow your doctor's prescribed dosage to ensure effective treatment. Your doctor may also prescribe this medication to treat other conditions.
Forcan can be taken any time of day, with or without food.
Side effects
In most cases the side effects from taking this medication are either non existent or very mild. Some of the side effects you may experience include:
- headache
- diarrhea
- nausea
- dizziness
- stomach pain
- food tasting different
Some people may also experience an allergic reaction to this Forcan. These cases are considered extremely rare, however if you experience:
- shortness of breath
- coughing
- wheezing
- fever
- chills
- chest pains
- swelling of face, tongue or neck
- a skin rash
you should discontinue use of Forcan and seek medical attention urgently.
Precautions
Taking a combination of Forcan and other medication, including homeopathic treatments, can cause serious side effects or reduce the effectiveness of this medication. You should notify your doctor or medical professional if you are taking other medication especially if they are:
- diabetes medications such as glyburide, tolbutamide or glipzide
- blood thinning medicines such as warfarin
- medicines to prevent the rejection of organ transplants such as cyclosporine or tacrolimus
- tuberculosis medicines such as rifampin or rifabutin
- allergy medications that contain astemizole
- asthma medication containing theophylline
- anti acids containing cisapride
